Can You Talk Shop Carrying a Splitting Migraine?

Hey Folks,
Seriously, I think I've just about had enough of this lurking shadow or should I say halo within my head. You've guessed right, it's this migraine which refuses to leave me as if I was its best friend. Being a multitasker, I generally smile through my headaches to complete all my tasks on time. But somehow now I have kind of lost my grit to tolerate this one particular aspect. Last week I was being this super mom trying to help my daughter through her crucial Plus two exams. Simultaneously, I had to complete my professional commitments. Social obligations took the rest of my time. All through this I had my SMILE in place which helped me cover my splitting headache.
Just when I was about to give up I nailed the root cause of my companion. The realization was shocking to say the least. It came as a stab in the back or should I say front. Betraying me from within me was none other than my TUMMY!!! Whenever I did not feed it in time, this was how it took revenge. Guess it wanted to prove a point. I learnt the lesson the hard way after putting up with this throbbing head for more than two decades!!
Folks, if I could endure this migraine with a (wry) smile for aeons, I think
YES! We can talk shop with a splitting migraine. :-)

A Depression Bout

Sometimes I wonder why
I see only dark clouds in the sky
Though ther's so much greenery around
I notice withered leaves that slowly dry.

The same joke that was cracked yesterday
To which i had sportingly laughed away
Felt was a poke at me
When it was cracked today

Whatever anyone said
Would just eat my head
Evan when told humorously
Some second meaning in it I read

Then casually I had a look
In a nearby book
So inspired I was by it
I was released from the depression hook!

I resolved never to be depressed anymore
Look at life's good things in store
Realising I was becoming
To everyone a real bore!
I hope this positivity will always last
Afterall no one is really steadfast
But what the book said is so very true;
TOUGH TIMES DO NOT LAST, TOUGH PEOPLE DO!!!

Are we all Juggling Ducks??

Women Of Today are JUGGLING DUCKS,

To be a Superwoman you need some pluck

In the process we tend to overeat,

Convincing ourselves we deserve the Treat!!

So, over the years we land up with bending knees,

Which bear the weight of our POT BELLIES!!

Size 'n Shape take a backseat

As we try achieving a Super woman's feat!!

So though we Moms look Rolly Polly,

We still keep our spirits Alive and Jolly!!

So pat yourselves gals, keep up the good work,

After all, do we mind being Juggling Ducks?? :))
